Cerebral palsy is the most common form of childhood-onset disability, yet it is poorly understood by the general public. People with CP have varying degrees of physical disability and the condition can be combined with intellectual and other impairments.
EU action affects people with CP in many ways, from promoting accessibility online and in public spaces to funding research and coordinating national CP registers.
This event in the framework of the Conference on the Future of Europe (futureu.europa.eu) provided an opportunity for people with CP and their family members to share their hopes and expectations about what the EU can do in future to ensure that European citizens with cerebral palsy are fully integrated and supported in society.
